Two 20th century youngsters, Andy and Karen, are accidentally transported back to the year 100,000,000 B.C. by their father's time machine. While dodging dinosaurs, the kids find a loyal friend in the form of Bunjee, a lovable, purple-haired creature who resembles an elephant with suction cups for feet. After escaping danger, Andy and Karen bring Bunjee with them when they return to the present. Alas, Bunjee is hardly ready for modern civilization, and vice versa.

Karen, Andy and Bunjee are determined to find a mom for the little Bunjee babies. The time machine sends them to the Middle Ages, where they tangle with an evil sorceress, battle a three-headed dragon -- and have more fun than a barrel of Bunjees!

The film chronicles the ongoing struggles of passengers who were aboard the Golden Venture, an immigrant smuggling ship that ran aground near New York City in 1993. Passengers had paid at least $30,000 to be brought to the U.S. from China's Fujian Province, expecting to arrive indebted but unnoticed. But a seemingly golden opportunity quickly evolved into a hellish descent through the cruel whims of U.S. immigration policy.

Expedition leader Atwood makes a deal with nearby cattle rustler Morgan to loot the Indian treasures instead and sell them. Hoppy is on to their plan and pretending to leave follows them. Not only is he outnumbered by Morgan's men, but California has himself about to be sacrificed in an Indian ritual.
